OK, down the rest of the xdxam gritty. Card HW failure, unrecoverable. After my first few experiences with the site after I bought the EX1 and finding the "Agree" link wasn't working in Safari, I went to the UK site which I had to register for and since that time Brooklyn has been a city in the UK.
Additionally the head guy at the organization this film is about is not a film producer but is essentially trying to now be one. But, to me, given all the benefits, the additional storage is a small price to pay.
XDCAM EX Workflow?
XDCAM EX has always ingested pretty fast, because the footage does not need a transcode for the Quicktime 2.111, and the files are much smaller than most HD formats, which makes it easier to copy. Not the same thing? If is suitable, it is OK. Once you get all that palaver working though it can be a smooth experience. One folder per card transferred.
I use CalibratedSoftware plugin myself I'm a beta tester actually. Everyone says there is no way to get info from Media Composer into FCPX but if this idea I have pans out it could be a way to get at least something crossed over. I agree with Sony. How to stop it? It'll also replace ClipBrowser on Windows. Within seconds you are in business, editing. I've been using EX since December and never lost a clip. You got it now with a plugin.
